Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Hungarian Sketches: Melody
Bartok: Concerto For Orchestra/Music For Strings, Percussion And Celesta/Hungarian Sketches
Released in 1956
This is a wonderful modern classical piece. I really love the melody,
and the way the piano plays during the soft parts. Try to imagine
the composer flaring his arms about, controlling the tempo and volume
of each section of the orchistra Its an amazing thing to think about.
We may think of 1956 as a long time ago, but it is very much part
of the "modern music" genera.
